Wee Rock Eco-Friendly Rocker Giveaway

We are joining in the Wee Rock Toy Company Giveaway. Please Check out the other blogs that are involved.

There is something so classic and timeless about a rocking horse. They are an iconic symbol of childhood that people of all generations can relate to. Whether it’s sitting in a nursery or getting plenty of use in the playroom, a rocking horse can add a certain esthetic to the room.

Wee Rock Toy Co. has put a new spin on the classic rocking horse by making them sustainably in a convenient new design. Catherine O’Sullivan and Michael Galea, founders of Wee Rock Toy Co., used their architectural training to create a classic rocking horse that has only six pieces, allowing them to be shipped flat and assembled with no tools, no glue and no hardware!

These unique rockers are crafted from bamboo plywood – an ultra high quality, renewable and child-safe material. Unlike most plywood, the bamboo plywood used by Wee Rock Toy Co. uses a soy-based adhesive that emits zero VOCs and is a responsibly sourced renewable material. The bamboo parts are simply finished with a food-grade butcher-block conditioner. A huge bonus – all of these toys are cut, finished and packaged in the United States!

In addition to being sustainably made in the USA, the Wee Rock Toy Co. rockers are adorable, and currently available in five designs, including a classic horse, gorilla, elephant, rhino and giraffe. See the designs.

Each of these five designs has the same critical dimensions. The seat is 13" off the ground and the assembled toy is approximately 13" W x 33" L – making the rockers ideal for kids from ages 18-48 months.

If you’ve been looking for the perfect rocker for your little one, or need a unique baby shower gift idea, be sure to check out Wee Rock Toy Co.

Challenge 1 Update

My challenge has not started off the right way, I had some unexpected issues with my back and then this is my first week back to school. I am going to catch up, but instead of getting fustrated I will just adjust the timeline.
On another note, some other changes that have been put in the works, is that I contacted the VA office and put in a request for an reevaluation as well as been sent paperwork to fill out for my disabilty money. I hope everyone is staying encouraged with their challenges.

A More Healthy, Green Me!

Blessings Readers,

Everything is running smoothly so far, I have 1 more book to read for the mini challenge, which means I will need to increase the books I read in the challenges. One of my goals this year is to get into a more healthy state of being for many reasons. The main reason is I want another child, for this to happen I need to have a surgery done and with this I must be at my best. I am also looking into being more earth friendly and not lazy about it. I've joined a local group of green mommies hoping they will be my motivation to learn and expand on my knowledge. As a part of this group I found out about Moms Meet and became a Mom's Ambassador. What does this mean? It means that I get invites and if accepted products to try with my group. We are looking forward to our first meetings in a few weeks.

Guess what? I just joined Happy Mothering  and  The Green Moms Network who has teamed up with Wee Rock Toy Co. to giveaway one of their heirloom-quality rockers ($300 value!).

Wee Rock Toy Co. Founders, Catherine O’Sullivan and Michael Galea, used their architectural training to create a classic rocking horse using sustainable materials and a unique design. Each rocker has just six parts that are shipped flat and can be assembled with no tools, no glue and no hardware!
All of their classic rockers are crafted from bamboo plywood – an ultra high quality, renewable and child-safe material. Challenge #1

Readers,

Today is Day 1 of my first challenge. But, alas the way things have fallen, my off week has come first. Not to worry I will still be productive and do a mini challenge. First, let me tell you what I choose for my first challenge...It is learning to Belly Dance. I chose this one first, because I am already going to be doing Yoga this semester in school and I wanted to start off with something that is fun and will help with an overall goal of being healthy. My mini-challenge this week is to finish 3 books.

What are you challenges/goals this week?

Introduction

Hello followers & friends,
I am Brittany and I turn 30 in May. I live in Texas with my husband, Billy, my cat Ares, and part-time my two daughters. I am a full-time student, trying to get into one of three programs, Radiology Tech, Sonography or Medical Assistant. This year I am also going to be volunteering at a hospital for hours towards that goal. I also keep very busy with local groups. I am the administrator of SE Texas Pagans, founder and administrator of NE Houston Broom & Brew (including our discussion group, Wyrd Brew), and co-founder and event coordinator of NE Houston Red Tent. I also run a stitching group called Pins & Needles and I am part of a green mommy group (more about that later).

So, this blog is going to be me journaling and showing of my progress. It is also one of my mini challenges. Challenges of Change is my version of 30 day challenges for my 30th year on earth. Yes, I am starting the challenge before I am 30 because instead of 30 days, I am doing 6 week challenges. Let me explain the way I am doing this. I will have 5 weeks of one challenge plus an off week for my lady time,(which will vary during the challenges) before moving on to the next challenge. Some will be physical challenges, some will be fun challenges, while others will be for knowledge and growth. There also be mini-challenges throughout depending on what finds my along the way. If anyone wants to do any of the challenges with me, I'll be happy for the support and you never know you might find something new to enjoy.
